Manufacturing
American Manufacturer of Waste Containers Since 1946
Cooper Tank fabricates roll-off containers, hook lift boxes, compactors, frac tanks, and specialty units at our Brooklyn and Waterbury facilities. Every container that leaves our floor is built to spec, welded by our team, and certified before it ships.
What We Build
From a 1-yard front-load bin to a 500-barrel frac tank, every product in the Cooper Tank line is fabricated at one of our two facilities. No outsourcing, no rebranding imported equipment.

Our in-house capabilities cover the full fabrication cycle. If you can draw it, we can build it.
Steel Fabrication
Plasma cutting, press-brake forming, and continuous-weld construction across 7 gauge and 10 gauge plate steel. Every container is built to hold its shape under the load it is rated for.
Custom Welding
Full-penetration MIG and TIG welds with gusset reinforcement at every critical joint. Our weld procedures follow ANSI Z245 and ASME standards. Custom port placement, internal baffles, and non-standard configurations are routine.
ISO and ANSI Compliance
All Cooper Tank equipment is built to ANSI Z245.30 (containers), ANSI Z245.2 (compactors), and DOT certification requirements for over-the-road transport. Spec sheets and certification documentation available at quote.
Lead Times and Capacity
Standard production models ship on build-to-order lead times from our Brooklyn and Waterbury facilities. Custom configurations, specialty linings, and engineered-to-spec builds are handled by our project team. Call for current availability.
Two Facilities, One Team
We operate two facilities on the East Coast, both under the same ownership and the same build standards.
Brooklyn, NY
Headquarters and Distribution
Our original Cooper Tank and Welding facility has operated on the same Brooklyn block since 1946. Today it serves as our Northeast distribution and service center, with sales, quoting, and full repair capabilities on-site. NYC-certified WBE.
Waterbury, CT
Manufacturing Floor
Our East Coast Containers facility in Waterbury is where the fabrication happens. Steel plate arrives, containers ship out. Full production capability for roll-off containers, hook lift boxes, compactors, and specialty units.
Why Buy Direct from a Trash Container Manufacturer?
When you buy from a distributor, you are paying for their margin and working around their inventory. When you buy from a dumpster manufacturer like Cooper Tank, you get the container built the way you need it, not the way the previous buyer ordered it.
Custom floor lengths, non-standard port locations, upgraded steel gauges, specialized linings for corrosive materials: these are standard conversations with a manufacturer. A distributor has to call us anyway. You can skip that step.
Replacement parts are also simpler. Because we built the container, we know the exact bolt pattern, hinge spec, and wheel diameter. Our parts inventory matches our production floor, not a third-party catalog.
We have been fabricating in Brooklyn since 1946. That is not a marketing line. It means our lead times, weld standards, and warranty terms have been tested across eight decades of customer equipment in the field.
