Roll Off Containers
Roll Off Containers for Sale
Cooper Tank builds cable roll off containers in 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 cubic yard sizes, with custom floor lengths from 8 to 23 feet. Every container is fabricated in our own plants in Brooklyn, NY and Waterbury, CT and sold factory-direct. We have built waste containers since 1946.
Roll Off Container Sizes
Every roll off container is built to order. Pick a size for the full spec sheet, or call to spec a custom floor length, gauge package, or door configuration.
10 Yard Roll Off Containers
10 yard is the size for heavy, dense material: concrete, brick, dirt, and roofing shingles, where the weight limit hits long before the box is full. It also fits tight driveways and urban lots where a longer container will not.
See specs15 Yard Roll Off Containers
15 yard covers small renovations, kitchen and bath tear-outs, and mixed debris with some weight to it. Haulers keep a few in the fleet for customers who need more than a 10 but will overload a 20.
See specs20 Yard Roll Off Containers
20 yard is the most rented size in most fleets: general construction debris, flooring, drywall, and whole-floor cleanouts. Built on a 14 foot floor for taller walls or a 22 foot floor for easier hand loading.
See specs30 Yard Roll Off Containers
30 yard holds roughly 170 trash bags or about 9 pickup truck loads. It is the standard size for new construction, full renovations, and commercial cleanouts, and the size most municipal bid sheets call for.
See specs40 Yard Roll Off Containers
40 yard is for high-volume, light material: demolition of large structures, warehouse and distribution-center cleanouts, cardboard, and packaging. Available flat-front or tub style.
See specs50 Yard Roll Off Containers
50 yard is the largest standard roll off, built for bulky, low-density streams at industrial and transfer-station sites. Built to order with the floor length matched to your truck.

Flat-Front Roll Off
The standard container for construction, demolition, and commercial waste. 7 gauge floor, 12 gauge sides, front, and door, structural channel crossmembers on 16 inch centers, 6x2 x 3/16 main rails, and 8x10 wheels with heavy-duty side plates. Full-height rear swing doors with cam-lock latches.
Flat-front specsTub Style Roll Off
A curved bottom radius lets wet waste, sludge, food waste, and sticky material slide out clean instead of packing into the corners. Same gauge packages as the flat-front, with full-penetration welded seams.
Tub style specsHeavy Duty and Super Heavy Duty
For scrap metal, concrete, and demolition debris. 1/4 inch plate floor, 10 gauge (Heavy Duty) or 7 gauge (Super Heavy Duty) sides, crossmembers on 12 inch centers, 4 inch structural tube top rail, and an optional bolt-on HARDOX liner.

Hook lift containersBuy Direct From the Manufacturer
Cooper Tank is a manufacturer, not a dealer. Roll off containers are cut, formed, welded, and painted in our own plants at 123 Varick Avenue in Brooklyn and 55 Fulkerson Drive in Waterbury, Connecticut, where we operate as East Coast Containers.
Buying from the shop that builds the container means you talk to the people who weld it, get a spec matched to your trucks and material, and avoid a distributor markup. Standard sizes carry short lead times; custom builds are quoted with a lead time attached.

Roll Off Container FAQ
What sizes do roll off containers come in?
Cooper Tank builds cable roll off containers in 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, and 50 cubic yard sizes, with 12 yard available in the heavy-duty line. Every size can be built on a custom floor length of 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 20, 22, or 23 feet. A shorter floor gives taller walls for dense material; a longer floor gives lower walls for hand loading.
What steel are your roll off containers made of?
Standard construction is a 7 gauge floor with 12 gauge sides, front, and door, structural channel crossmembers on 16 inch centers, and 6x2 x 3/16 main rails. Heavy Duty moves to 10 gauge sides, a 1/4 inch plate floor, crossmembers on 12 inch centers, and 6x2 x 1/4 inch rails. Super Heavy Duty adds 7 gauge sides. All seams are continuously MIG-welded inside and out, and every container is ANSI Z245.30 compliant.
How much does a roll off container cost?
Price depends on size, gauge package, floor length, door and tarp options, quantity, and delivery location. Cooper Tank is the manufacturer, so you get a factory-direct quote from the shop that builds the container, with no dealer markup. Call (718) 497-4431 or send your specs through the quote form for a delivered price and current lead time. Fleet and repeat orders are priced by volume.
Should I buy flat-front, tub style, or heavy duty?
Flat-front is the standard box for general C&D and commercial debris. Tub style has a curved bottom so wet waste, sludge, and sticky material dump clean. Heavy duty and super heavy duty are for scrap metal, concrete, and demolition loads that wear out lighter containers, with an optional bolt-on HARDOX liner.
Do you sell roll off containers to municipalities and on public bids?
Yes. Cooper Tank builds roll off containers for town and county DPWs, sanitation departments, and public agencies, and can build to a bid specification. Send the spec sheet or bid number and we return a compliant quote.
Do you deliver roll off containers in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut?
Yes. Cooper Tank manufactures in Brooklyn, NY and at the East Coast Containers plant in Waterbury, CT, and delivers across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and the Northeast. Repeat fleet customers ship nationally. Call (718) 497-4431, or (203) 597-8833 for Waterbury.
